Southern Flow is a feature-length documentary that follows rivers from the Appalachian headwaters to the Gulf, showcasing the Southeast’s globally significant freshwater biodiversity while exploring the conservation challenges facing these interconnected ecosystems. 

The film explores the extraordinary yet often overlooked freshwater ecosystems of the southeastern United States, revealing how rivers connect landscapes, wildlife, and communities from the Appalachian Mountains to the Gulf Coast. Through the lens of biodiversity and conservation, the film examines why this globally significant region remains underprotected and highlights the importance of safeguarding these interconnected watersheds for the future.
